I enjoy bringing a fun yet structured approach to my Math sessions. Through the use of positive reinforcement and positive corrections, I foster a pleasant learning environment for myself and my students – no question is too tough, no mistake is too big! I’m forward-thinking and full of energy, so it’s no problem for me to breakdown long, seemingly-challenging questions into detailed step-by-step instructions for easier understanding (numbered, lettered, colour-coded, etc. based on what each individual learner is comfortable with). At the same time, however, I like to encourage independence: if I see a student is really grasping a particular Math concept, I’ll definitely let them know how great things are coming along – and also how we can use their current strengths to build on some of their weaker areas!
I teach newfound patience, understanding, step-by-step breakdowns, and most importantly… confidence!
I’m a university student in Toronto with a passion for Math, Science, English and Spanish. Honour roll and current “A”-level student who took AP courses throughout high school. I am currently working towards a Law & Politics degree!
One of my biggest passions in life is Math… I was even accepted by several Ontario universities for their math programs, but ultimately I chose to go a different path. I’m using ‘Superprof’ as a way of continuing my Math career throughout my undergrad, as well as grow my experience and my clientel. I go into every tutoring session with one goal in mind: to make Math fun! (And, by the end of it, I hope my next student loves it almost as much as me!)
My rate and schedule is flexible, up to $30/hour for a session – will do a 45 min. session at the very least. I can bring lesson sheets based on your curriculum if needed. Communication is key!
Availability (weekdays)*: Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays after 4:00-4:30 PM; Wednesdays & Fridays after 6:00-6:30 PM
Availability (weekends): Saturdays 9:00-11:00 AM; Sundays 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
*If a weekday morning or afternoon is needed (ie. for test prep, exam prep, extra help, etc.) we can work that out!
Thank you, I look forward to lending a helping hand!

I had the highest pleasure of knowing and learning from Anastasia. Her attitude toward tutoring creates an amazing environment to be in. Not only is she able to assess and understand many different subject areas, but she also understands what skill set a person is in to help them at their own pace and get 100% effort from them. I highly recommend her to help you with all your Math and English frustrations.
