About Milo
My passion for Mathematics began with an appreciation for patterns and logical structures. I pursued an M.Sc in Mathematics Education to deepen my understanding of both subject matter and effective teaching strategies. Over 12 years, I have supported students across elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and introductory calculus. I believe in teaching with patience and clarity. I adapt explanations to suit individual learning styles and use visual representations and real-life examples to simplify abstract ideas. I encourage students to see mistakes as learning opportunities and build resilience through practice. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with Mathematics through curriculum design and continuous learning. Teaching math is fulfilling because I see students develop confidence and independence. Helping learners recognize their own problem-solving ability is the most rewarding part of my work.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when learners understand the logic behind each step. My lessons support students across elementary school math and middle school math, focusing on number sense, reasoning skills, and clear problem-solving strategies. I create a calm and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, and build confidence gradually.
As learners advance, lessons expand into geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus. I guide students through structured problem-solving methods, helping them recognize patterns and apply concepts accurately. Visual models, step-by-step explanations, and guided practice ensure students understand not only how to solve problems, but why solutions work.
Maths lessons also help students develop perseverance, focus, and analytical thinking. Many learners realize that mathematics is about reasoning rather than speed. My goal is to help students feel confident, capable, and prepared to face mathematical challenges independently.
