As a visiting English-language Consultant, I helped managed the Preparatory program required for all university students, which consisted of intensive English-language classes, including situational, grammar, composition, and other classes. I managed grading, marking, teaching and many other academic particulars and performed necessary leadership responsibilities.
In addition, I was given the responsibility of counselling students/teachers, and managing the online administration system for attendance, grades and filing reports for student/teacher conduct, behavior, and deportment. Overall, I was tasked with improving the quality of the work place and teacher’s morale.
English Consultant & Company Trainer – Woosong University Mar – Aug 2013 South Korea
As a visiting English-language Consultant/Trainer, I was responsible for directing and overseeing the needs of general English classes, children’s classes, and solo classes. `I ensured the general English classes were made up of productive grammar, listening and speaking, reading and writing, and situational, classes. I also monitored student’s speaking ability and assessed their understanding of common expressions, idioms, and everyday language. The children’s classes were similar, but geared more toward younger learners. The solo classes were the same, except that students were more encouraged to practice their conversational skills.
My main goal as a manager was on clearly maintaining professional workplace/teaching standards in regards to everything concerning exams, lesson plans, relationships with parents, filing reports and evaluating teachers; and ensuring all staff complied with work regulations.
