My teaching methods always vary on the musical capabilities I believe my student has. In school, when I was being taught I realized that everyone, especially beginners, conceptualize music differently. What I mean is, not all traditional methods will work for people. I have a pretty keen eye for musical ability so even if you feel you can't read sheet music I'll be sure to get you to (almost) any place I can in guitar. Our first class together would be me gauging how much you know about music, then from there I'll be able to create lessons for you that I feel are fit to your level. Remember, if you want to do well with you have to be willing to push yourself a little!
I'm a music student, going to college for it and have been taking orchestral music since grade 9 and guitar classes since grade 10. I have been playing guitar for 8 years, soon to be 9 and have been told I'm influential in the art. I've also played bass for about 5 years now. When I was younger, I started off playing classic rock songs and quickly progressed my way through different genres of music like funk, jazz, blues, metal, etc, and becoming the all-around guitarist I am today! In high school I used to have to go around and help the rest of my guitar class with all the chords and notes, so I definitely somewhat know what I'm doing!
