I am a Native German language tutor with over 20 years experience
Methodology
I personalize the material for every student depending on your language requirements, may it be business, travel or education. Through my initial consultation, we will work together to set goals and expectations and create a lesson plan.
Ideally, each session would be a 60 minute lesson which from experience is enough time to get into the topic without being too overwhelming. If you wish to have a longer session , we can fit that into our lesson plan. Having taught both children and business professionals. I have learned to adapt my lesson plans to fit the abilities and schedules of each student. I'd like to start each lesson with a recap of the previous session and end with a review and/or self-study.
Background
Why I am an Educator: For over 20 years, I have been a language teacher from teaching English to teaching German. My greatest joy comes from seeing my students learn, grow, and meet their educational goals. Whether its for school, business or just for fun, learning a new language can be both fun and interesting.
My teaching style is: The Inspirer. As a lifelong learner myself, I know how important it is to have a reliable, compassionate, and understanding instructor. These are the major qualities I always bring to my students. Together, we will set goals, and I will walk you through this process step by step. Through open communication, honesty, and hard work, you will see that a new language can be mastered.
My methodology is: Communicative. This means, I focus on the basics. Building the learners ability to communicate such as asking and answering questions, travelling, and conversational speech. We will put great emphasis on proper pronunciation and grammar. You will learn by listening, reading and open discussions.
