Every student is approached individually, in that I strive to find key interests to tap into (ex. most effective learning style, music tastes, accomadating practice regularity). I believe all students should have performance opportunities, though they are entirely optional. Technique and listening skills (exposure to new music) are areas that I always try to find creative and effective outlets for.
I am a piano instructor (Registered Music Teacher - SRMTA), performer, and accompanist with a degree in Music Education with High Honours from the University of Saskatchewan looking to expand my private studio.
My tutors include Krista Simmons, Bonnie Nicholson, and Kathy Lohrenz Gable. I have attended a Masterclass by Jan Lisieki, leading to my success in winning Saskatoon Music Festival’s Kinsmen Competition in 2018. Future aspirations have me looking towards a Master’s Degree in piano performance (collaborative piano or pedagogy).
