About the lesson
I start lessons with an in depth review of the topic in which the student needs assistance. I tailor the lessons to the preferred learning style of the student e.g. a lesson with diagrams and pictures for visual learners. I like to focus on students being able to apply their knowledge. Therefore, working on practice problems is a large part of my teaching method.
My lessons are for high school and undergraduate students studying biology, including topics in microbiology, plant science, physiology, ecology and cell biology.

About Sarah
I obtained a bachelor's degree in health sciences and biology at Western University. I then received a masters of science degree in plant pathology at the University of Guelph. I am currently doing a degree in plant microbiology (with a specific focus on viruses) at the University of Sherbrooke. I have experience as a teaching assistant, teaching topics such as agrifood systems. I have also taught topics on plant germination and mycology for the Canadian Association for Girls in Science.
