I am an university student, studying combined degree program of Bachelor of Science in General Mathematics (3 years) and Bachelor of Education in Secondary Mathematics (2 years). I have completed my courses for the Bachelor of Science degree and I am in my 4th year currently, studying courses for my Education degree.
My lessons are intended for students from all grades as I am planning to become a secondary school teacher. I plan my lessons based the individual learning needs of the students that I teach. Therefore, my lessons and instructional methods are always differentiated for my students.
Although I do not have any work experience as a tutor, I have volunteered with various organizations in Calgary as a tutor. I have volunteered with the Calgary Public Library to teach basic computer skills to seniors. I have volunteered with the Immigrant Services Calgary as an after-school homework club tutor, in which I worked with students from grades 4, 5, and 6. I have also volunteered with the Calgary Police Museum to teach grade 5 and 6 about health, safety, and wellness.
I am a pre-service teacher from the University of Calgary. I teach all grade levels. I use multiple modes of communication (texts, visuals, auditory, etc) in my lessons. I modify my instructional methods based on my students' needs.
