About Katie

Hello students and families! My name is Katie and I am a professional tutor and writing coach based in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. I have worked with children for over ten years, and have been working full-time as a one-on-one tutor for over four years.

I work with a wide variety of students, from kids reading their first sentences to teens prepping for university, and it is a joy to help each of them reach their goals! I specialize in teaching language arts and written expression, social studies, and early literacy (using the Orton-Gillingham method). I have extensive experience teaching children who have ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, and ASD. I also teach reading comprehension as well as verbal and written expression to English Language Learners from beginners to advanced levels.
