About the lesson

I plan to structure every lesson around the student's specification. Each lesson we will go through the methods for a topic at a comfortable pace, with both me showing the steps and the student also practising the steps for consolidation. We will also go through exam style questions, so that the student can see how questions might be given to them in their exams. I also will set them questions for homework, which we will discuss in the next lesson. I like to have short consolidation tests every month, with exam questions, to help the student track how they are doing.
Most importantly, I like to keep the lessons as engaging as possible.
I also encourage students to send me any questions they find tricky during the week and I then send them the working out for it.

I am a Maths and English tutor with over 2.5 years experience in private and group tutoring.
I have a passion for teaching. In the past I have worked as a tutor at an 11+ tuition centre and at maths tuition centre for KS2, KS3, GCSE and A Level maths.
I have also done private tutoring for KS2/3 Maths and KS2 English.
