About the lesson
As it's rightly said, "you can't build a great building on a weak foundation" For me as a teacher, building a strong foundation by clearing the most trivial of concepts is the key. My classes are more concept-oriented than practice-oriented because I believe that once the students gain clarity about the methodology behind solving a specific set of problems, all problems with a wide range of difficulty can be solved with relative ease. My classes have a well-formulated structure which is liked by all. It goes somehow like this:
1. Enlightening myself with the kind of knowledge the student already possesses
2. Assessing his strong and weak points in the topic supposed to be taught in that particular class.
3. Providing valuable tips to keep a firm grip on his prior strengths.
4. Working on the weak areas by establishing clarity in the concepts considered to be quite complex and difficult by the student.
5. Finally practicing a few questions ( handpicked by me from a wide spectrum of difficulty level ) to get hold of how to go about solving questions from the particular topic.
And in the next class:
1. Revising all that had been done in the previous class.
2. Addressing doubts and further tapping into the weaknesses so that they don't resurface again.

I am a third year student pursuing B.A. (Hons.) Economics from Hansraj College, Delhi University, India. In addition to this I've opted for a General Elective course in Mathematics. I did my schooling from St.Columba's School, New Delhi, India. I secured 96.6% in Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) Class XII examknation with scores of 99 and 98 in Economics and Mathematics respectively. I've given home tuitions in Mathematics to Class6 - Class10 students and have received an overwhelming response from them in return.
