What is my Methodology? I think I kind of explained this in my first paragraph but to outline it again. I want to make art enjoyable to everyone. I am a visual learner myself; so I try to use a lot of images or examples to explain how to do something. Sometimes I use other peoples video to explain a technique not because I can not explain the technique myself but because maybe the way they have explained it works best.
I want everyone to be able to understand the meaning and the history behind it. There is a lot of stuff online but no one seems to be explaining the basic concepts of art, why things are done the way they are done. If You have any other questions please ask me.
I am a Visual Arts teacher in and around Montreal. I have worked with many and in many art mediums and subjects. Unfortunately, there are too many to list. Please ask me and if I can not help you I will try to set you up with a website or Youtube channel that you can learn from on your own. I believe that art should be and can enjoyable to everyone. Whether you need it to graduate or not. I have two Bachelors degrees one in Fine Arts from Quebec and the other In Education from Ontario but I have qualified in Quebec to teach. I have been teaching in Quebec since 2012. What I am proud of the most is those degrees and that fact that I am Learning Disabled; I have dyslexia. But I think that what makes me the best type of teacher because I understand the struggle to learn something that maybe your brain cannot wrap its head around.
NOTICE: I CAN ONLY WORK DURING THE WEEKENDS, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A FULL-TIME TEACHING CONTRACT THIS YEAR. AND I HAVE TO WORK DURING THE WEEK AND SOMETIMES AFTER SCHOOL TILL LATE, I am sorry for the inconvenience. I have decided to charge just a flat fee, except for when you are asking for when purchasing multiple hours and group rates (which are not posted on here). I prefer not to teach at my home and I am willing to drive to yours within hours driving distance or to meet at a public place if you are not comfortable with having me at your home either. And if it is easier for both of us we can speak via webcam, during hours that work for both of us.
I understand that maybe to you I am asking for a lot per hour but please understand it is because I will go above and beyond to make sure you understand what you want to learn about and what I am teaching you.

I have known Laura since we were doing our first undergrad. I have seen her evolve from being a student herself to leading students down their own artistic paths. She has a strong basis in both art theory and practice, which no doubt is due to her passion about the subject. Laura will pinpoint the interest of the student and coax it into a complete idea, with a variety of exercises and inspirational material that is wide ranging. I definitely recommend her to anyone, from beginner to advanced student.
Laura is someone who is compassionate, understanding and dedicated. Her passion for art is contiguous to those around her!
