With a focus on the theories of positive psychology as well as other methodologies, I plan to encourage others to find their own "flow" in life, to find what works best for them. In my classes I would introduce exercises such as mindfullness, some basic meditation/stress relief techniques, as well as grounding strategies which could be used in real-world scenarios.
I am a recent alumni from Wilfrid Laurier University, and from here have earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in German Studies and French. With the various coursework, personal research and other sources I have accumulated over the years, I have been inspired to aid others in developing their own sense of emotional and mental well-being. Having tutored a significant number of students in the past in a variety of subjects, and having received stress management techniques myself, I am confident that I will be able to assist others in maintaining healthy habits, finding strategies that suit their own lifestyle, and overall getting the most out of life!
