Methodology
Firstly, I ensure I am aware of the student's unique qualities. Each student can benefit from an individualized plan that targets specific strengths as well as areas for improvement. I also make sure that the environment is one in which the student feels comfortable to take risks, and make mistakes. It is only when the student has this trust of space that they can be completely open to learn.
Background
I am a Physics student, concurrently completing an Education degree. I have experience tutoring grade 9 students in order to prepare them for the grade 10 literacy test; This included creating individualized lesson plans and discerning unique areas for improvement. My main passions lie in science and math, and I have had the opportunity to student teach these subjects at both high school and elementary levels.
