I am an undergraduate Science student at UBC. I can teach high school mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. My method of teaching is systematic; I outline the basic steps you would use to solve similar problems and then go through these steps. I prefer using diagrams to visualize the problem before solving the problem. I would use an online blackboard to show you how to solve problems.
I've tutored for 3 years, from grade 7 classes to grade 10 classes at learning institutions. I think I'm a good teacher because I am very patient. I understand the difficulties of understanding particularly hard concepts, because I am a student myself! I will go through with you my thought process regarding the problem, short-cuts to solving the problem, and how to recognize similar problem types. I will also go through with you a couple common trickier problems and misconceptions related to the topic.
