About the lesson
I believe in taking our time to build a strong foundation of general technique and using exercises and tunes to teach this. I offer a wide range of music from the more traditional Competition material to the more modern folky material. I can also teach pupils through their school and PDQB/ SCQF exams. I also believe in tailoring the approach to the individual learner so they enjoy their music while they progress.

About Scott
I’m a well experienced performer and teacher having played along side of Dougie McLean and work with the National Piping Centre. I hold a 1st class honours Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for Traditional Music and I was a semi finalist of the BBC radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year. I currently run my own school called the North Ayrshire Piping & Drumming Academy and I am the pipe sergeant of Ayr Pipe Band.
