My teaching methods are student centred rather than topic centred. I understand that not all students be interested in the topics that will be taught. So once I enter the classroom, my first and foremost goal is to create interest about the topic that is to be taught and an atmosphere where the students themselves are encouraged to participate. I assign writing assignments through the semester so that students remember the topics studied and also to stimulate their thought process concerning the topic. Students are free to consult me regarding any doubts related to the topic and to discuss any new ideas. I consider exam to be a tool for students to evaluate how much they have understood about the various topics that have been taught and give my reviews that helps the students to further improve themselves.
Finally, my main objective as a teacher would be to inspire my students to grow, to observe, to be open-minded and to be curious. These would further help them to learn and increase their thirst to acquire more knowledge. I would love to see all my students becoming not only a good professional but also a good human being.
