I think lectures are dull, and you (or your child) probably think(s) the same too. I try to be interactive and encourage my student to participate, such as introducing practice questions, cool real-world examples, and multimedia resources as I go through my teaching material. Learning about math should be cool and not boring.
I am a current neurosciece graduate student and research assistant at the University of Toronto. I graduated with First Class Honours in pharmacology from McGill University. Before that, I studied in the IB program, with a strong focus on the sciences in my course selection, at a top-ranked independent school in Toronto.
I've been giving lessons for 5 years, starting when I first entered undergrad. I tutored my fellow students and as well high school students in biology, chemistry, science, and math. I've also worked as a teaching assistant for a 700-student class in university.
All my past students managed to succeed and they're all achieving great things in life: there are recipients of prestigious scholarships, students at globally top universities, medical students, registered nurses, investment bankers, professional engineers, and much more! I tutor because I love to see the joy of success in my students, and I would like you (or your child) to experience this joy as well.
