I ask my students to let me know in advance what they are having trouble with so that I can prepare the lesson plan.
I will help my students learn and understand the material given so that they will remember what they are learning, not just memorize. I will explain the theory and give practice problems (either from their textbook, my own examples, or examples I find online) to ensure their understanding of the material. I hope to inspire my students to enjoy themselves and keep on learning.
I am a student at UBC in the faculty of forestry and I am in my third year studying forest sciences. I have taken calculus 1 (differential calculus), calculus 2 (integral calculus), biology, and chemistry in university. I am able to help with grade 12 chemistry, math, and biology while I only teach physics for students in tenth grade and under.
If any university student requires any first year math tutoring, I charge $20 an hour and, as previously stated, can help with theory but may have difficulty with the homework due to being a higher level. I may be able to help with some first year chemistry as well.
I currently do not tutor any other science-based university course at the moment.
I may be able to meet near VGH depending on the time.
