Terry B Hanson Born Vancouver BC. Hanson is the son of a concert violinist. Hanson's father was acclaimed the best violinist in Canada when he was 16 years of age (Hanson’s Father). Aside from having a father who was a musical prodigy Terry Hanson started playing guitar at the age of 6.
Hanson received an A.A. at Douglas College Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree on classical guitar at the University of British Columbia in 1989. As a student his main teachers were one of Andreas Segovia’s prodigies from The Hague in the Netherlands and and a guitar instructor from the Berkley School of Music. In the commercial idiom, the long list of recording artists he played and associated with include Chad Allen (and the Expressions- Founder of Canada’s Guess Who) Five Man Cargo [club gigs and tour with Brave Belt and Loverboy (one of promoter Bruce Allen's First Bands in Vancouver BC)] The Hornets (London England a Beatles Tribute Band booked by Siegel Entertainment and Whitefoot Entertainment) Trooper Downchild Blues Band (Toronto, Ontario) Doctor Fingers (Vancouver Blues Pianist) Powder Blues (Vancouver Blues Band) Bill Lewis (Vancouver Guitar Builder), Hanson’s Solo Engagements “from Blues to Bach” and more . . . .. In addition Terry Hanson was knighted a member of the Canadian rock legend "The Quess Who" for his guitar talents. Chad Allen conducted The Knighting Ceremony at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort in Agassiz, BC Canada.
Nontheless Hanson spent a considerable period of time as guest conductor with various educational ensembles and military bands throughout British Columbia, Canada.
