My teaching methodology includes breaking down questions into their components and asking students leading questions to help them discover the concepts for themselves. If a subject is new, I would explain it, for example paragraph writing, with examples and, before writing the paragraph, have the student identify paragraph parts in an example. I strive to make the student feel competent and like they have the skills to approach new tasks with confidence. I also tailor my lessons to the student, using resources that are of interest to them. For instance, for improving French Vocabulary, I would work with the student to find a book that interests them to pull new words from. I consider myself patient and compassionate!
I have experience tutoring primary-aged children in French. I excelled at French in secondary school, winning awards for the language. I am a former fashion student and current Language and Intercultural Relations student at Ryerson University.
