About Daniel

Hi, I’m Daniel — a VIT-registered secondary teacher, VCAA Assessor, and experienced academic author with extensive classroom and tutoring experience across senior secondary subjects.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master of Teaching (Secondary), and a Master of Education (Leadership & Management), along with postgraduate qualifications in Mathematics and Geography. I have been teaching in Victorian secondary schools since 2019 and currently hold a Leading Teacher position within the Department of Education.

My teaching and tutoring experience spans VCE Accounting, Economics, and Business Management, as well as junior secondary Commerce and Humanities. I have taught these subjects across multiple year levels and have a deep understanding of the VCE study designs, assessment standards, and what examiners are looking for in high-scoring responses.

In addition to my classroom role, I am a VCAA VCE Exam Assessor and work as an academic author and examiner with external assessment providers. This experience allows me to give students highly accurate guidance on SAC preparation, exam technique, response structure, and how marks are actually awarded.

I am known for my structured, supportive, and results-focused teaching style. I place a strong emphasis on clarity, confidence, and helping students feel prepared and in control of their learning. I also provide ongoing support outside of lesson time, including additional resources, feedback, and marking, so students are consistently supported between sessions.

I’m passionate about helping students not only improve their results, but also develop the confidence, independence, and academic skills needed for long-term success.

About my lessons

My tutoring is designed specifically for VCE students studying Accounting, Economics, and Business Management, with a strong focus on improving SAC performance, exam technique, and overall academic confidence.

I am a VIT-registered teacher, VCAA Assessor, and experienced academic writer. My lessons are structured, personalised, and results-driven, and I support students through Units 1–4 by building both the key knowledge and the skills needed to consistently perform at a high level.

Many students fall behind in these subjects not because they lack ability, but because they lack clear structure, confidence, and the right approach to answering SAC and exam questions. My goal is to ensure students understand content deeply, apply it effectively, and learn how to communicate their knowledge using VCAA-style language and high-scoring response structure.

Lessons are tailored to the student’s current ability level, their school’s progress, and their target outcomes. Each session is focused on strengthening understanding, improving written responses, developing exam strategy, and ensuring students feel prepared and confident heading into assessments.

A key part of my approach is ensuring students are exposed to key knowledge and skills ahead of their peers, allowing them to walk into class feeling capable and in control rather than overwhelmed or behind.
