About Samuel
As a math tutor for more than 15 years, I have worked with many ages and have found the most successful instances have been when students and I understand I am here to help them believe in themselves. Additionally, providing a safe space for students to ask questions and to question their thinking in order to address mathematical misconceptions closes the gap to misunderstanding when learning math. I believe in working patiently through frustrations and continued encouragement that every student has the ability and know how to excel in math.

Each session is dedicated to exploring how students think and respond to math problems. Understanding how a student think about solving a problem is key for me to determining the best approach to helping a student. Asking questions and getting questions wrong is essential to the learning process. Staying positive and encouraging students during their productive struggle is vital to a student's success in math.
