About the lesson

My initial tutoring sessions begin with a friendly chat to get to know my student and make sure they're not nervous. I then assess their strengths and weaknesses through a variety of problems aimed at their grade level. I pay close attention to their process - showing your work is often more important than just getting the right answer.

A typical session consists of a short teaching period, where I break down concepts, and extensive problem-solving. I encourage my students to bring in any homework or coursework they're having touble with and to ask a lot of questions.
