About the lesson
I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with many great students in my career as a teaching assistant. I have my certificate for my work as an education assistant. When I first meet with a student, I like to talk to them and gain insight on how they view the course material. I will then approach what they know and build on that. In addition to this, if I find that they are struggling with a specific concept, then I will focus on that. I love to have fun! Learning games is something I would like to bring to every session. My patience is incredible; I am very happy to answer questions but I try my best to keep the lesson on track.

About Dana
I am a former teaching assistant in the public school systems in both St. John’s NL and Calgary Alberta. My background includes helping students with special needs and anyone who just needs a bit of help. I am very tech savy and can help in just about anything from English to math. I have also done some private tutoring as well in Calgary and with some of my classmates at College of the North Atlantic. I am very patient and will work with my students until we get it right and the learning comes naturally. If I can use games that will reinforce concepts then I will use them. I will work to a student’ strengths and develop a plan that works.
