Calgary Japanese Festival "Omatsuri"
Omatsuri, which means "festival" in Japanese, is a community celebration to give thanks for new harvests, good health, harmony, and respect for ancestors, heritage, and traditions. The OMATSURI was created by the Association of the Japanese Community of Calgary, the Buddhist Temple of Calgary, the Japanese Gospel Church of Calgary, the Association of the New Japanese Community, the Kotobuki Senior Citizens' Club, and the Association of Youth.
