-We touch on the method of "Being" . Meisner and the Stanislavski technique may come into play , but our main focus is to finding our authentic selves in the moment.
-We will do exercises to open ourselves up physically and emotionally , so we are released from obstacles to our emotional and physical freedom in our performances. Sense Memory, Personal Memory, Relaxation exercises , Personal Inventory and preparing for our scenes will also be a part of our lessons.
-What makes me different from other coaches is that I incorporate meditative sessions to relax the mind, tune into our bodies and see how we are feeling in that moment. I find meditation very useful and important for an actor.
Releasing tension and getting out of our heads will help free the student to explore their emotions in the scene honestly and that will take them one step further to just "Being" and removing self-doubt, "acting" , fear and ego in their performances.
