About Annabel

My name's Annabel, I'm an actor working in theatre, tv and radio. I've worked with the RSC, in the West End and London theatres for the last ten years. I have enjoyed an extensive career, meeting brilliant people and making work that I'm very proud of. I have worked collaboratively on new projects and on larger more commercial projects that require a different skill set, such as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I feel very knowledgable about what makes a good performance and how to create an authentic character, using your particular skill sets. I enjoy working with other people to bring out the best in them and also learn something new for myself - I don't come to the table knowing it all, I think the best growth comes from adapting to needs of what's in the room, rather than shoehorning ourselves into what we think is needed.

About the lesson

I have worked as a tutor with groups and individuals since graduating ArtsEd in 2015. My lessons suit the individual, working out what aspect of your training you want to work on. I am passionate about creating authentic, detailed performances and ensure this through a variety of text and physical work. My approach is playful and light hearted and I understand that acting can be very vulnerable so the space is always a safe one. I can run a session to your needs between 30 minutes to 2 hours, I have LAMDA in Performance teacher training which I did in 2019 and have taught drama to kids between the ages of 5 and 18, working regularly at Stagecoach Fulham and The Playing Space. I have worked with young adults in preparation for their drama school/ NYT auditions and as a director for audio dramas.
