About Eilin

I started developing a passion for the French language when I moved to Canada in Grade 5 and started taking Core French. Coming from a Spanish background, French always came easily to me since its grammar is very similar to Spanish.

I pursued French throughout High School and ultimately completed a French Studies degree in University. During my undergrad, I was also enrolled in Linguistics classes, which led me to do an Option in Linguistics.

While I completed my degree, I began tutoring French and other subjects with the goal of helping students boost their confidence and thrive. My 3 years of experience have helped me to refine my methodology, my activities, and to help students with diverse needs.

Currently, I am enrolled in my first year of my Bachelors of Education. My goal is to become an elementary school French Teacher and to help students feel comfortable and capable of speaking another language!

About the lesson

For me, tutoring is all about having fun while learning! Lessons should be engaging, consisting of manipulatives, fun stories and instructional games to keep students entertained and advance their learning.

Depending on the level, a typical lesson should cover various aspects of the language, such as language comprehension, reading, writing, speaking and grammar.

My lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate students and for students who are enrolled in Core French classes or for those who attend a French Immersion school.

Students' needs are my priority and it is my goal to help them succeed and support them along the way in a fun and meaningful way.
