About Rhea

I hold a bachelor’s degree in music and have spent the last seven years helping students master the guitar in both private and group settings. My academic background in performance and music theory gives me the foundation to teach with structure and adaptability for all skill levels. My journey with guitar began at a young age, evolving through school bands, studio sessions, and live gigs. I've taught students as young as seven and adults picking up the instrument later in life. Each experience has deepened my belief that anyone can learn with the right support. I focus on helping students not only play well but truly understand what they’re doing musically. I’m a patient and motivated teacher who enjoys celebrating small victories with students. It’s my mission to turn frustration into progress and turn curiosity into confidence with every lesson.

About the lesson

Every guitar lesson is structured to be hands-on and engaging, focusing on building solid playing habits from the beginning. Whether you're learning basic chords or tackling your first song, I ensure you're developing proper technique and musical understanding from day one. Lessons balance theory and creativity to keep learning exciting.

We cover essential topics like chord progressions, strumming patterns, scales, and reading tabs. I help students break through common roadblocks like sore fingers or timing struggles by providing simple techniques and personalized exercises. Each lesson builds on the last so that progress feels natural and rewarding.

Students can choose to learn acoustic or electric styles, from rock and pop to blues or classical fingerpicking. I incorporate music that the student enjoys to maintain motivation and interest. My goal is to make each player independent, confident, and musically expressive in their own style.
