Introduction and Warm-Up: Begin the lesson with a brief introduction and a warm-up exercise to get the student's fingers moving and help them get comfortable with the guitar. This can include finger exercises, scales, or chord progressions.
Technique: Teach the student proper guitar technique, including hand position, posture, and how to properly hold the pick. Demonstrate and explain each technique and then have the student practice it.
Chords: Teach the student how to play basic guitar chords. Start with the most common chords, such as C, G, D, A, and E, and then move on to more complex chords as the student progresses.
Strumming Patterns: Teach the student different strumming patterns to accompany the chords they have learned. Begin with simple patterns and gradually increase in complexity.
Song: Teach the student how to play a song using the chords and strumming patterns they have learned. Choose a song that is appropriate for their skill level and that they are interested in learning.
Practice: End the lesson with a brief review of what was covered and assign the student some practice exercises and songs to work on before the next lesson.
