I’m a piano tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Sacred Music, specializing in piano and organ, and over 6 years of teaching experience. My passion lies in blending solid academic training with practical skills across genres like ragtime, stride, and early jazz piano. I love helping students discover the rich history and unique techniques behind these timeless styles. Whether you’re a school-aged learner or an adult, I tailor lessons to fit your goals and interests. We’ll explore the rhythms, syncopations, and feel that make early jazz and ragtime so special. My teaching approach is hands-on and encouraging, making challenging pieces accessible and fun. I focus on building strong technique while deepening your appreciation for historical piano music. Each lesson aims to develop your musicality and confidence at the keyboard. Together, we’ll bring these classic styles to life.
