About Romain
I was born into a family of artists, and have been passionate about music from a young age.
I learned the instrument mostly by myself, yet I attended the conservatories, in particular the CNSM of Paris.
I very quickly left the institutions to spend most of my time in Parisian jam sessions to meet people there and quickly found myself playing with artists such as Nguyên Lê, Mario Canonge, Thierry Maillard, Michel Fugain, Nina Attal, Philippe Sellam, Dean Brown ...
Since 2016 I have been playing with the legendary American guitarist Scott Henderson, with whom I actively tour and record.
I am fortunate to have traveled a lot around the world and to have made a lot of important encounters - thanks to music - and it has given me an experience of the profession that I would be delighted to share with you in addition to learning the instrument.
Because knowing how to play an instrument is good, but knowing how things work in this profession is just as important! :)

I have never liked the boring and academic side that some music teachers can have, and which very often discourage students. The goal is not to have an irreproachable theoretical background but to have fun while playing.
I like sharing and share and I see the lessons as an individual masterclass where I could answer all your questions, advise you, help you perfect your technique and your approach to the instrument, introduce you to bass players (and not only!) who have influenced me and who could influence you too.
These lessons are aimed at all levels and will be adapted accordingly.

Au delà d’être un excellent bassiste, Romain est avant tout un grand musicien. Sa pédagogie est à la hauteur de son talent. Prendre des cours avec un des top 10 français est une grande chance !
