About Simona

ONLY ONLINE LESSONS Ciao a tutti, mi chiamo Simona e sono una tutor di italiano. I was born in Basilicata, a very suggestive region of southern Italy. I studied in Naples and graduated in Oriental Languages and Civilizations, specifically Arabic and Hebrew; then I lived in Tunisia, England, Germany, Rome and Tenerife. I speak English, French and Spanish fluently, so I understand the complexity of grammar and the challenges of learning a new language. I have been teaching Italian for many years to people of all ages, I have a class teaching experience as well as private lessons. Over the years, I privately tutored adults and children at all levels. I have experience with giving Italian lessons and preparing exams for students across different countries: Australia, Singapore, USA, Chile, Emirates, UK and Europe. Usually I have my lessons on Meet, or Skype. About the lesson

First lesson free We can discuss discount for two or more students. Available only for online lessons in the time slot between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST During the first test lesson, I will focus on your level, your inclinations and your preferences. I usually send out a very simple test to understand what level of learning my new students are at, especially if they are not absolute beginners. We'll pay specific attention to the conversation, talking about the topics you’re passionate about, so it will be easier for you to become familiar with the spoken language, at the same time we will enhance the aspects of Italian grammar in which you feel most insecure. My approach to students is never the same because every student has a personal way of studying and a unique way of learning and I try my best to adapt to these peculiarities. You will not need to buy any material or books because I will provide you with everything you need during the lessons and if you need it, also additional material for your personal practice. I have no expectations of my students; if anything, we need to think about what expectations they have about me and their goals. I can guarantee you a specific and personal approach, I believe that learning a language is a very similar process to getting healthy and fit: the more exercise you do, the more results you will get. I can offer the following: - Personalized lessons for your level and need. - Conversation practice and accent reduction. Perfect! Simona is an excellent tutor. She starts you off with a good foundation. We began the lessons with basic grammar. Slowly we build up to complete sentences and conversations. Her pace and lessons are just right. I feel more and more confident during lessons. I enjoy the material assigned in between classes. I find her suggestions helpful. I’m bilingual (Spanish/english) and hope to pick up a third language. I highly recommend Simona. She is attentive and patient!
