About Tara
I hold a Master’s degree in Music and have been teaching guitar for over nine years. My academic and performance experience allows me to deliver structured, engaging lessons that cultivate both technical skill and expressive musicality for students at all levels. Over my teaching career, I have worked with beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, including those preparing for exams, recitals, or personal growth. This diverse experience enables me to adapt lessons to individual goals, ensuring every student receives personalized instruction that is effective and enjoyable. What inspires me as a tutor is helping students discover their unique musical voice. I believe guitar study fosters discipline, creativity, and confidence. My teaching combines technical skill-building with inspiration, aiming to nurture learners who enjoy playing and continue developing long after lessons end.

My guitar lessons begin with foundational techniques such as proper hand positioning, chord transitions, and strumming accuracy. As students advance, lessons emphasize scales, fingerstyle patterns, and improvisation. This approach encourages creative expression, enabling students to compose riffs, develop solos, and explore different musical styles while strengthening technical proficiency.
Performance and musical expression form a key component of my teaching. Students work on dynamics, phrasing, and stage presence to prepare for recitals, exams, or casual performances. My lessons balance technical mastery with artistry, helping learners convey emotion and connect with audiences through their music.
