About Achaebe

I started learning to read when I was 30 months old. By the age of 3, I could read complex texts, albeit at a slower pace. In grade 2, my school tested me and told me that I was reading at a grade 8 level with the ability to read individual words at a grade 12 level. I have then taught other children how to read using a similar program. With all this experience, and utilizing decades of research into the science of reading, I have created a powerful new reading program for children.

About the lesson

I have developed a 6-month reading program using years of experience teaching reading and following decades of research into the science of reading.

This program, meant to occur 5 days/week for 30-45 mins/day, will allow a young child who has never been given any prior reading instruction to be able to read complex texts within 6 months. No, I don't mean just children's books. They will have the capability to read almost anything.

Learning to read at an early age sets a child up for success in many direct and indirect ways. Their confidence in school will be much higher and they will do much better by simply being able to read any instructions given to them. The reading program is also taught in a way that develops pattern recognition and problem solving parts of the brain, which will become particularly useful when they begin to learn mathematics. Young children also have a very strong love of learning. As they learn to read, their excitement for taking out books from the library will increase further, as they are then able to take charge of their own learning. They can discover the world around them using new avenues of knowledge not previously available to them.
