Are you a big fan of K-Drama and K-pop?
Do you want to learn actual Korean?
Do you want to communicate with Koreans in their native language?
When I started to learn English, watching Netflix shows was the most effective way to improve my language understanding. These are main reasons why I brought the same method to teaching Korean -
1. You get to enjoy the show, making learning fun and enjoyable.
2. There are useful expressions that used in daily life. (I met so many teachers teaching very old / academic expressions or difficult grammar theories. It actually made my speaking worse.)
3. Through the power of enjoyable and memorable scenes, your memory retention improves, making it easier to recall the correct context.
Unfortunately(?) unlike English, Korean language has multiple endings of sentence that convey similar meanings but different connotations. Mastering this aspect is crucial for speaking Korean, and I’m good at teaching this in detail.
The basic structure of my class is like below -
1. Script from K-drama or film.
2. Additional useful expressions and words related with the script / context explanation. (Provided before the class with the script.)
3. Speak along with me.
4. We can play the scenes together to practice the dialogue.
5. Writing homework with the new words you’ve learn.
My class is both very fun and highly practical!
If you have a specific K-Drama you want to study with me, please let me know. I’ll prepare the class accordingly.
If you are a complete beginner and unfamiliar with the Korean alphabet, please let me know separately, as this class might be challenging without prior knowledge.
