About Silas

My teaching approach is centered on combining strong technique with expressive creativity. I help students build a solid foundation in sight-reading, finger strength, and keyboard coordination. Alongside this, I guide them through classical phrasing, articulation techniques, and expressive dynamics to bring their playing to life. I tailor lessons to match each student’s interests and goals. Whether you love composing your own pieces or enjoy playing pop songs, I’ll support your passion and help you grow. We’ll explore how to shape melodies, create mood through dynamics, and use phrasing to tell a musical story. I also include memory training for performance, helping students feel confident and calm on stage or in recordings. For those interested in songwriting or blending classical with modern styles, I offer tools to create original music using both piano and digital elements. Every lesson is a mix of structure and creativity. I encourage self-expression while building a strong technical base. With a supportive and flexible approach, I help students discover their voice at the piano and achieve real progress at their own pace.

About the lesson

I’m a passionate piano teacher with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. My teaching blends tradition with innovation, guiding students through classical technique while embracing the possibilities of modern music-making. Whether you're into music production, songwriting, or exploring hybrid genres, I create lessons that meet you where your creativity lives.

I use MIDI technology, online recording tools, and digital notation apps to make learning engaging and relevant. These tools not only enhance practice but help students understand how music works in today’s world. My studio is a space where you can experiment, learn, and grow.

I focus on developing strong sight-reading skills and solid keyboard technique, all while encouraging personal expression. Students often work on original compositions or recreate the sounds they hear in their favorite songs.

From beginner fundamentals to advanced grooves, every lesson is tailored to your goals. I'm experienced with students who want to produce beats, score short films, or perform at live events.
