About Ella
I’m a third year music student, currently taking a year out of studying to complete a placement year in Manchester. I’m also partially based in North London. I’ve conducted and taught small choirs and orchestras at a variety of levels over the past 4 years. I've also taught some individual students from beginner level, reaching grades 2 and 3. My passion, enthusiasm and 15 years of experience as a violinist gives me the knowledge and understanding to suit the needs of students at any level.
I have played in over 10 ensembles, performing in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, and Saint Paul's Cathedral as a violinist, flautist and singer.

Beginners - I would take the time to get you familiar with the feel of the violin, introducing the use of the bow in weeks 3 or 4. I have a wide range of great beginner repertoire.
Intermediate players (grade 2-3+) - Understanding your ability is important, so I would hear you play something fun and accessible and then tailor your lessons accordingly.
Advanced players (grade 6+) - I would focus on your musicality and develop your technique with some exciting but challenging pieces.
