About Luma

Hi, I’m a piano tutor with 9 years of experience, holding a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA or equivalent). I am passionate about helping students unlock both their creative and technical potential at every stage of learning. I guide students through ABRSM, Rockschool, and university-level piano curricula, tailoring lessons to their individual goals and abilities. My approach balances technical exercises, sight-reading, theory, and expressive interpretation to develop well-rounded pianists. I encourage creativity through improvisation, composition, and exploring a variety of musical styles, from classical to contemporary. I focus on building confidence, musicality, and a love for playing, while providing structured guidance and clear practice strategies. Performance preparation is an important part of my teaching, whether for exams, recitals, or informal showcases. I enjoy celebrating every student’s progress and helping them discover their own musical voice. Ultimately, my goal is to create lessons that are engaging, inspiring, and rewarding, while supporting steady growth and artistic exploration.
