About Michael
I’m a PhD in astrophysics and have lived and worked around the world while engaging in the field. I’m a professor now in astronomy and active still in research, so my lectures remain timely and relevant. I enjoy the mix of topics in general Astronomy and the ability to engage the universe broadly through it.

Astronomy is amazing, but it requires physics and mathematics to understand well. I love to teach and provide folks with the insight to appreciate far more of astronomy than what you’ll get from watching TikTok or YouTube videos. The physics may seem tough but it makes understanding the topics so much more enjoyable, while providing a solid foundation for making new discoveries and insights on your own. We can do lectures with or without code, traditional or modern, whatever works best for you at your stage in academia.
