About Galina
I am a Sociologist by training and I love teaching interactively. My life as a woman born in Eastern Europe, educated in Canada, and working at a diverse Canadian university, has taught me to think with people who are in community with me.

I teach as much as I learn from the students. My classes are interactive and meaningful to those involved. As such, the students' lived experiences function as a map for understanding sociological concepts. The body one has been dealt becomes instrumental to these understanding.
