About Talon

I am a dedicated piano tutor with a Master’s degree in Music and over 7 years of teaching and performance experience. My journey with piano began in early childhood, and through formal education and countless hours of practice, I developed a deep appreciation for both the technical and expressive sides of music. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with a wide range of students—from young beginners to adults returning to piano after years away. I take pride in creating a patient, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to grow at their own pace while building confidence and skill. My teaching approach blends classical structure with modern flexibility. I emphasize solid technique, sight-reading, and music theory, while also incorporating creativity through improvisation, expression, and exploring different musical genres. Every lesson is customized to the student’s individual goals and interests, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable. Outside the classroom, I stay actively engaged in the music community through performances, workshops, and continued study. I believe that music is a lifelong journey, and my goal is to inspire each student to enjoy the process, connect emotionally with their playing, and discover their unique musical voice.

About the lesson

Piano lessons are thoughtfully designed to meet students at their current level, whether they’re absolute beginners or more advanced players seeking to refine technique and musical understanding. Each session is structured to build a strong foundation while encouraging creativity, confidence, and a deeper connection to music.

Early lessons focus on essential skills like hand positioning, note reading, rhythm awareness, and basic music theory. Students also learn to play with expression and accuracy through simple pieces tailored to their interests and goals. As students progress, we explore scales, chord patterns, and more complex repertoire across various styles such as classical, pop, and contemporary.

Intermediate and advanced lessons include sight-reading development, dynamic control, interpretation, and improvisation. Students are also introduced to composition basics, collaborative playing, and performance preparation, with guidance tailored to those pursuing exams, recitals, or personal milestones.

Above all, the lessons are designed to make learning piano a joyful and fulfilling experience. With a balanced approach to discipline and creativity, students gain not only technical skills but also a lasting appreciation for music and their own musical voice.
