About Ayesha

I began my architectural education at Central Saint Martins in 2013. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and graduated with a First Class Honours, with my work being nominated for the Lethaby Gallery Exhibition as part of London Design Festival. Following this I completed my Master’s Degree at Royal College of Art, and was nominated the RIBA North-West prize for my final year project. Since graduating in 2020, I have had the privilege of working as tutor at Central Saint Martins and still act as a guest critic for the Architecture Course. I have worked in many award-winning studios including Claridge Architects, Karakusevic Carson and SODA Studio. During my time in practice I have worked on a wide range of scales and sectors, from large-scale housing developments to interior fit-outs for luxury beauty brands. I am passionate about working in architectural education as a way to give back to the architectural community. My purpose would be to provide each student with confidence and autonomy as they begin to define their identity within the industry in terms of design style and ethos.

About the lesson

I began teaching at Central Saint Martins in 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed my experience in education and ability to give back to the architectural community. I believe the students were able to quickly develop their technical abilities, drawing skills, knowledge of architectural references, and insight into the industry during our lessons. I provide a wide range of support for students and ensure my lessons are personally curated to suit each individual's needs, including areas of learning they may feel weaker in. I have always received positive feedback from my students, who believe I offered strong support during their time in university, offering depth of knowledge and a patient attitude. My services include, but are not limited to: - Adobe suite training (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) - AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, SketchUp - Model Making, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting - Construction Detailing - Portfolio Advice - Conceptual Development & Storytelling - Current Architectural References & Resources (Books, Websites, Articles) - CV Writing and Job Interview for Preparation

Perfect! I contacted Ayesha in a very stressful period at university as I had never used softwares before. She responded to me very quickly and we've had a couple of lessons now. She helped me with learning about the software programmes and their related shortcuts. She's currently helping me preparing my InDesign portfolio, and has given me with clear simple advice to achieve a portfolio that is visually appealing and effectively communicates a coherent narrative of my design. Ayesha quickly understood the way I worked and thus managed to help me in a very efficient and quick way. She is really understanding and compassionate, and has an in-depth understanding of the specific criteria that university looks for in our work. Thank you for all your help!!
