We build foundational techniques—accurate fretting, chord fluency, rhythmic precision, and dynamic tone control—through songs and genres that inspire you, whether that’s blues, rock, folk, metal, or pop. Music theory is woven into lessons with practical, creative exercises like modal interchange, chord substitutions, and melodic solo development, helping you understand and apply concepts in musical contexts. I encourage improvisation, original arrangements, and songwriting as ways to develop your unique musical voice.
We regularly set and review goals to maintain focus and motivation. A memorable moment was helping a student transform a punk rock anthem into a beautiful fingerstyle acoustic arrangement, witnessing their growth in artistry and confidence. Teaching guitar is about cultivating skill, creativity, and enduring passion.

To make practice engaging and effective, I use chord charts, backing tracks, and loopers, which support the development of rhythmic accuracy, improvisational abilities, and overall musicianship.
I view guitar playing as a joyful and creative outlet rather than a challenge, so I nurture patience, celebrate every achievement, and share motivational stories of professional guitarists and students who have thrived through dedication.
