About Karen
Having grown up in a multilingual family, Spanish is one of my 3 mother tongues (along with French and Italian).
I grew up in Ticino (CH), speaking Italian at school and French and Spanish at home. I spent my childhood and adolescence traveling (a LOT) back and forth to Barcelona and Andalusia, to see my very large family.
ALL of them speaking only Spanish (Catalan, or Andalusian), I had to learn the multiples ways to speak the language from a very young age. I was lucky enough to learn the many differences, in terms of vocabulary (obviously different with grandparents, uncles/aunts, or cousins), pronunciations, accents, intonations...you name it.
I then decided to study Spanish at high school/gymnasium in order to perfect my overall skills and learn more about the theoretical part of this magnificent language.
I can therefore offer you a wide variety of lessons and teach you multiples things, tips, techniques to improve yourself and achieve your goals!
I am very flexible with my hours and have no problem working early mornings/late evenings, weekdays/weekends, holidays...whatever! (As long as it is communicated in advance and my schedule allows it)

Whether you need help with your homework, to prepare for an exam, to improve your pronunciation, your listening/reading comprehension, or even to work on a particular accent out of pure personal interest, in short...YOU tell me your goal, I show you the way and help you get there!
Depending on your level, I can also provide you with specific materials and exercises to do in addition!
The first class is of course free and aims to get to know each other, assess your level, identify your needs/wishes, and set your goals.
