About Catherine

I am currently employed as a Casual Educational Assistant and Casual Administrative Assistant with the Anglophone East School District. After a career as a Relocation Consultant in Toronto, we moved to New Brunswick for a simpler, slower paced life. My husband is a retired teacher and encouraged me to seek out work in the school system because it was something I had always wanted to do.
I received my English as a Second Language Teaching Certification through Benn's International School of English in Toronto about twenty years ago. I didn't end up using my newly acquired skills because of the scheduling conflict in our household at the time. I did, however, use the methods I had learnt to teach French as a Second Language to several people in order for them to improve their knowledge of the language for business purposes. I speak four languages; English, French, German and Spanish.

About the lesson

I prefer to tailor my teaching methodology based on the individualized needs and abilities of the student.
I believe that creating a rapport and a level of comfort is very important so that the individual does not feel shy in using what they already know and to help them expand upon it.

Half hour lessons available at $20 per half hour.
Hourly lessons available at $30 per hour.
E-mail transfer accepted upon booking, transferable to another date or 50% refundable for cancellation.
