About Thea

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature and have taught Spanish for over six years. My teaching experience includes both individual tutoring and group sessions, giving me the ability to adapt my instruction style to different learning environments and student needs. My goal as a tutor is to create a relaxed and supportive space where students feel encouraged to speak and grow. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals—whether it’s travel, school, or professional use—so learning always feels relevant, achievable, and enjoyable. Beyond teaching, I’ve studied abroad in Spain and immersed myself in Latin American culture. These real-world experiences help me bring cultural richness into lessons, making the language feel alive. I believe language learning thrives when students connect meaningfully with both the words and the people behind them.

About the lesson

In beginner lessons, students focus on pronunciation, basic sentence structure, essential vocabulary, and everyday conversation. We practice through repetition, visual aids, and dialogue to make learning interactive and relatable. Emphasis is placed on forming correct speech patterns and building listening comprehension from the start.

Intermediate sessions include verb conjugations, reading short texts, and holding longer conversations. We explore grammar more deeply—such as past and future tenses—and practice through real-life scenarios. Lessons include writing simple paragraphs and expanding vocabulary to support fluency and accuracy in spoken and written Spanish.

Advanced learners work on refining fluency, expanding cultural knowledge, and mastering idiomatic expressions. We engage with authentic Spanish materials like news articles, literature excerpts, and interviews. Sessions are designed to build confidence in public speaking, academic writing, and advanced listening through structured yet creative learning strategies.
