About Iven

Hi, I'm a guitar tutor with over 10 years of teaching and performing experience. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music with a focus on guitar, and I love helping students grow in both confidence and skill. My background spans rock, classical, folk, and blues, which means I can guide you through a wide range of styles while building solid technique. Whether you're a young beginner or an adult picking up the guitar again, I tailor lessons to suit your goals and interests. I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind the music—through rhythm training, fretboard navigation, and expressive playing. We’ll work on everything from chord progressions and fingerpicking to improvisation and songwriting. I combine practical tools like play-alongs, tab reading, and jam tracks with a strong musical foundation.
