About Nolan
I am a passionate piano tutor with 14 years of experience helping students at all levels. I specialize in guiding learners through ABRSM, Rockschool, and university-level piano exams and coursework. Holding a Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA or equivalent), I bring strong technical knowledge and performance skills to every lesson. My teaching focuses on unlocking each student’s creative and technical potential. I believe that piano learning should be both challenging and enjoyable. Whether you are preparing for exams or simply want to improve your playing, I tailor lessons to suit your individual goals. I aim to build a solid foundation in technique, music theory, and expression. Along the way, I encourage creativity and personal musical growth. My lessons are patient, structured, and supportive, helping students gain confidence and skill. My teaching approach is built around clear, structured skill-building to help students grow confidently. I guide learners through chord progressions, scale practice, rhythmic exercises, and expanding their repertoire step-by-step. I provide real-time feedback to keep students on track and engaged. This helps correct mistakes early and builds good habits. My practice routines are fun and effective, making it easier for students to stay motivated between lessons.
I especially enjoy working with adult learners who play piano as a hobby, helping them find joy and progress at their own pace. For those interested in pop music, I tailor lessons to develop their style and groove, supporting their musical goals clearly and practically.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where every student feels comfortable and encouraged. I focus on building skills that matter, while making sure learning stays exciting. Together, we develop your musicality and confidence with patience and care.
